I can play any type of file now on any of the players (except FLV of course). I have four players in all: WMP, Real Player, VLC player and FLV player. That's when I decided to download the Vista codec pack, and it worked. I also had the VLC player, but it wasn't playing DVDS. I found a d**n good DVD decoder by Roxio, and it solved the problem where I could play DVDs again in WMP.

I called the Vista techs because I could no longer play DVDs. Before I ever downloaded Vista codec pack, I was already having problems with Windows Media Player 11.
